Each term of full-time study constitutes a 'Unit of Study' with an Equivalent Full-time Student Load (EFTSL) value of 0.25.
For continuing students, in extraordinary circumstances, it may be possible to negotiate an arrangement whereby studies may be allowed on a part-time basis. In that instance, the 'Unit of Study' for studying 'Group Therapy only' (ie one term) has a tuition fee of $590 and an EFTSL value of 0.05. A one-term 'Unit of Study' for 'Theory and Practicum only' has a tuition fee of $2,360 and an EFTSL value of 0.20. Part-time studies are not available to newly commencing students.
Course Withdrawal and FEE-HELP
In the event that a student wishes to withdraw after the census date, from a course for which they are receiving FEE-HELP assistance, they will incur the FEE-HELP debt for that unit of study (ie term) and a cancellation fee of $250.
It is at JNI's discretion whether any up-front payments the person has made in respect of that unit are refunded. Please see the Re-Crediting and Remission information in the policy document linked below.
